JYP Entertainment dropped two health updates on March 26. Dahyun‘s ankle stress fracture has not healed she pauses all activities indefinitely. Chaeyoung felt sudden back pain and missed her US flight. Orlando opens tomorrow, March 27.
No shows have been cancelled. All tickets remain valid.

Dahyun’s Ankle: What JYP Said
JYP issued their third and most serious statement on March 25.
Dahyun will pause all activities not just tour dates until her ankle allows her to “perform choreography.” No return date was given.
“Dahyun will focus on recovery for the time being and plans to rejoin activities once her condition allows her to perform choreography.” JYP Entertainment, March 25, 2026
This is bigger than previous statements. Earlier updates covered tour absences. This one covers everything fan events, media, promotions, all of it.

Dahyun Injury Timeline
Jan 13–14 Seattle: Performs with modifications. Ankle discomfort first noticed.
Jan 17–18 Oakland: Performs seated on a stool. Delivers “Chess” solo at the piano.
Jan 21 – Feb 1 Inglewood, Phoenix, Dallas: Continues performing seated across all shows.
Feb 11: JYP confirms stress fracture diagnosis. Dahyun withdraws from Feb 13 onward.
Mar 17: Second JYP statement Dahyun also misses all three Taipei Dome shows (Mar 20–22).
Mar 25–26: Third statement full activity pause. No return date confirmed.

What “Pauses All Activities” Actually Means
This phrase matters. Here is what it covers:
- No tour shows from Orlando onward unless JYP confirms otherwise
- No fan events, media appearances, or promotions
- Tokyo National Stadium (April 25, 26, 28) status unconfirmed
- European leg (May–June) uncertain until further notice
- All tickets remain valid no cancellations announced
Chaeyoung: Sudden Back Pain, Flight Delayed
Chaeyoung‘s update is separate from Dahyun’s situation entirely.
On March 26, she felt sudden back pain while preparing to fly to the US. She stayed in South Korea for urgent hospital treatment while the other members departed.
“Chaeyoung suddenly felt an abnormality in her back this morning and decided that she needed hospital treatment urgently.” JYP Entertainment, March 26, 2026
JYP added a key warning: even if Chaeyoung travels and joins the tour, some performances may be limited.

This is not her first health issue this tour. In November 2025, Chaeyoung sat out Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Bangkok after a vasovagal syncope diagnosis. She returned healthy for the full North American run — until today.
Her Orlando status for March 27–28 remains unconfirmed. Watch @JYPETWICE for updates.

The Bigger Picture: TWICE’s Health Challenges in 2026
TWICE has not cancelled a single show despite multiple member absences.
Jeongyeon missed the Philippine Arena and Phoenix shows earlier in the tour. Mina sat out Philadelphia. Chaeyoung missed three Asian stops in late 2025. Dahyun has now been absent since February 13.
Through every absence, the THIS IS FOR World Tour has continued in full. The 360-degree stage, live band, and four-act setlist have run at every date. The remaining members have delivered complete productions every night.

One Hamilton fan wrote on Ticketmaster: “Even though Dahyun was not there, they gave all of themselves to make that day the best day of our lives.”
JYP has issued an official statement within 24 hours of every development. That transparency has continued with both updates today.
